The average yields by time report is a great way to better understand how plantings production changes during the course of it's harvestable period.
This report displays the yield rate of a planting— how much a planting yielded averaged across the total row feet—during each week of it's harvest window.
If a crop was harvested across eight weeks, then the graph will display eight data points. Each data point displays the corresponding week's yield rate. You can then parse the information and compare what the yield rate was in the first two weeks compared to the middle weeks, and then compared it against the final weeks of production.
Providing a consistent supply of a crop
This is especially useful when trying to determine how much you need to overlap successions of plantings in order to ensure a consistent harvest.
Comparing variety production
By keeping good yield records of each planting, you'll be able to compare varieties in this report to see which variety is providing the most consistent or inconsistent yields.
Estimating how much you can produce each week given a specific planting amount
If you are trying to determine what your production will be in the future for a planting, this report can be very useful. There is a function that allows you to customize the yield rate unit:
e.g. You want to forecast your yield for a planting of 500-row meters and see how much it will produce during each week of the harvest window.
- Select the option for Customize
- Input the row meter amount:
- Then the data will update to display what the expected yield will be if you were to grow 500-row meter:
