We're excited to announce that we have released a brand new Online Store feature that allows our farmers to sell their products directly to customers online. This is the portal that helps bring your produce to those who need it while still maintaining a safe social distance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As always, the feature is automatically added to your account. There is no additional subscription fee for the Online Store feature. We are implementing a 2% revenue share pricing model to better enable you to pass the costs of online transactions on to your customers.
Please note that the Online Store is currently powered through an integration with Square, so the feature can only be used in countries where Square is supported (USA, Australia, UK, Canada, and Japan). We are working on finding a solution that enables us to offer the feature to our farmers in other countries soon.
Here's an example of how your Tend-hosted Online Store will look to customers:
Your customers will add items from your Store into their shopping cart:
Customers can then pay you with a credit card or gift card through Square.
Pick & Pack Paper Version
We're working hard to bring the Pick & Pack feature to you as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we've introduced a lightweight paper version connected to your Online Store that you can carry and hand out to your crew.

The Catalog has also been updated to give you a clean, organized display of all the items you plan on selling throughout the season.
The Catalog Import process has been updated to exclude Flowers and Cover Crops from being created automatically as items for sale.
Mobile (Be sure to update your mobile app)
Now that you have your Online Store feature to help you sell your products, we added a lightweight "Orders" report on your Tend mobile application to help you monitor your sales statistics.
Whenever an order is placed in your Online Store, you will receive a notification via email and a push notification to your mobile application. You can turn off push notifications in your Farm Listing.
You can now tap on a planting bundle to expand it so that the list of bundled tasks can be viewed instantly, eliminating the need to tap twice to go into a bundle screen and expand the list.
- The issue of duplicated notes when you update your plantings was resolved.
- Flats are now being calculated correctly when you adjust the planting amount for a planting task.
- No significant issues found.
